What are the dates of the fair?
The Western Carolina State Fair runs for 10 fun-filled days: October 11-20, 2024.
What does the Mega Pass include?
The Mega Pass includes gate admission and an unlimited ride wristband, valid for any one day of the fair. The Mega Pass can only be purchased before the fair begins and gates open.
What time do you open?
Monday through Friday, we open at 5 PM each day. On Saturday and Sunday, we open at 12 PM.
When does the fair close each night?
The last gate admission tickets are sold at 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 9:30 PM on Friday and Saturday. Rides will continue operating for at least one hour after gates close.
*Please note that the Western Carolina State Fair reserves the right to close at any time due to weather or crowd conditions for the safety of its patrons.
How much is gate admission?
Gate admission is $10 for adults (ages 11 and older). Children 10 and under receive free admission.
Do you have a clear bag policy?
Yes, for the safety of our patrons, we enforce a clear bag policy at the Western Carolina State Fairgrounds. You can read the guidelines here.
Do you take credit cards or accept cash?
Several food and market vendors accept credit cards, but not all. For your convenience, we have an ATM on-site.
Do I need to pay separately to see the events, shows, and bull riding?
No, everything is included in the gate admission fee—this covers all shows, events, access to rides, food, and vendors for the entire day.
Can i leave and come back?
Re-entry is not permitted after leaving the fairgrounds. You must purchase another gate admission ticket.
